Dana’s Reaction Following the California Republican Party Convention

The good news for Republicans is that all of our candidates for Governor and for the Senate are superior to the Democrats” options. Speaking of which, isn’t it odd that the best the Democrats have to offer to run for Governor is Jerry Brown? What’s with THAT?! And that there isn’t anyone in the Democratic Party that will stand up for fiscal responsibility and for representing Californians instead of Beltway power politics by challenging Barbara Boxer?
Certainly there are huge numbers of Democrats who are appalled at the Health Care Reform Bill as it currently stands, with the brazen corruption on view in the Senate, and with the obscene, profligate spending that Barbara Boxer supports. Wouldn’t you think that there was someone in the Democrat Party who would stand up against Boxer and fight for Californians, especially those in the Central Valley who have been devastated by the unconstitutional measures taken to protect a lousy little fish rather than the economic livelihood of thousands of Californians?! Someone to STAND UP and say “Turn the water on, NOW!”
The main theme of the convention was the need to take back power from the government; back from a Congress (and a State Legislature) that has strayed SO far beyond the powers vested to them in the Constitution.
The CRP was the place to be this weekend, speaking to constituents, supporters and to other Congressional candidates; listening, learning, comparing strategies and developing ideas that will lead to Republicans taking back the Congress. Because there is no doubt that Republicans MUST take back the Congress in 2010. The American public has watched the totally inappropriate interplay between the Congress and state governments - from the ugly “deals” cut with Louisiana, Florida and Nebraska to bribe a Yes vote on Health Care Reform bill from their Senators to the proposals that federal funds be transferred to states to pay state employee salaries. The Congress is out of control.
I need not remind people that we have seen what the Democratic majority, led by the far-left Nancy Pelosi, has planned for the US. The scale, the scope and the speed with which they have begun to dismantle our Free Enterprise System is unprecedented. The legislation proposed to take away freedoms in every aspect of our lives is breathtaking in its audacity and arrogance.
Our Republicans are energized, motivated and clear on their goal. Nancy Pelosi – and all those representatives who support her statist policies - MUST GO.

I was at the convention over the weekend and noticed that John Dennis had lots of support and activity surrounding his campaign for Dist 8. There were numerous booths and meeting rooms where Mr. Dennis spoke to Republican activists and distributed info to convention goers. I did not see a Dana Walsh booth, or hear about any speaking engagements on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
I did see Ms. Walsh at the convention making the rounds, however it just simply was not the same as her primary opponents presence. What do Dana Walsh supporters need to do to turn the tide against the John Dennis machine?
It was great hearing you speak Dana, good luck against Dennis
