We Need Conservative Leadership

Feb 25, 2010

President Obama just concluded his Health Care Summit with Democrat & Republican leaders. I respect the President for his attempt to increase transparency, something I have been demanding from Nancy Pelosi for a long time.

However, even in Obama's introductory remarks, it was evident that the Summit is a choreographed event that will result in no bi-partisan action. Democrats will proceed tomorrow with the same extreme, liberal agenda that they have been trying to ram through legislation.

We need real Republican leadership in the House, following proven, successful conservative principles. It is the only way we will revitalize the economy and keep our country safe.

Help me defeat Nancy Pelosi!

Congressional Disapproval Rating Hits All-Time High

Feb 24, 2010

In a Rasmussen poll released today, America’s disapproval rating of Congress reached the highest level ever recorded by Rasmussen Reports. Seventy one percent of voters believe that the Pelosi Congress is doing a poor job.

The record setting level is up 10 points from the previous high of sixty one percent, which was recorded just last month.

With the majority of Americans (56%) opposed to healthcare legislation, it is no wonder that voters believe Congress is going a poor job, as Nancy Pelosi tries to ram through healthcare reform without regard to public opinion and to the Constitution.

With Congress’ approval rating in the tank… Help me to kick the leader of them all, Nancy Pelosi, out of Washington D.C.

Please donate $10 to my campaign today on behalf of the 10% of confused Americans who actually believe Congress is doing a good job.

To the 71% of Americans who do not support the Pelosi Congress: Invest today in a better future for US Congress! Give $10 to my campaign to defeat Nancy Pelosi!

Demand Transparency in Healthcare Summit this Week

Feb 22, 2010

In today’s news, President Barack Obama previewed part of the latest version of health care legislation that will be unveiled on Wednesday. It is his last attempt to rescue his health care overhaul and to find a compromise between the Senate and House versions of the bill. However, Obama is proposing one new, major amendment that would allow the government to deny or roll back private insurance companies’ premium increases.

A White House official, speaking on “condition of anonymity” because details have not yet been officially released, said the insurance rate proposal would give government agencies the power to deny substantial premium increases, limit them, or demand rebates for consumers.

Here is Nancy Pelosi’s statement regarding the President’s announcement:

"The President today made available to all Americans the Administration's health insurance reform proposal, which contains positive elements from the House and Senate-passed bills. I look forward to reviewing it with House Members and then joining the President and the Republican leadership at the Blair House meeting on Thursday. This discussion will continue a year-long historic level of transparency and open debate of this crucial reform effort.”

If Nancy Pelosi believes that her close door meetings have resulted in a “historic level of transparency” throughout the healthcare debacle, then she has duped many Democrats, Republicans, and the American people.

Just days before the televised Healthcare Summit between Obama and elected officials from both parties, speak out and remind those in Washington that they are there representing you! Let’s encourage all elected officials to abandon empty rhetoric, and fulfill their duties as participants in our U.S. Democracy, as the founding fathers intended.

Speak out today, and tell Nancy Pelosi that you want real transparency in healthcare legislation – Sign the petition:

Alisa Ferenzena & Terrence Faulkner Endorse Dana Walsh

Feb 19, 2010

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Dana Walsh, Republican running for Congress in California's 8th District, graciously receives endorsements from current and former members of the San Francisco Republican County Central Committee, Alisa Farenzena and Terrence Faulkner.

"I endorse Dana Walsh because she is the only candidate in District 8 who understands the importance of winning the global war on terror," says Ms. Farenzena. "The other candidates cannot seem to grasp the significance of having all intelligence-gathering tactics available to us and the need to differentiate terrorists from common criminals."

Alisa is currently an elected member of the San Francisco Republican County Central Committee, representing the 13th Assembly District, and an appointed member of the California Republican Party.

While Nancy Pelosi and the White House administration weaken Guantanamo Bay, rush to extend Miranda rights to enemy combatants, and try to impress European Elites, our enemies are emboldened. Dana receives Ms. Farenzena's endorsement proudly because she understands the importance of national security and protecting American liberty.

Terrence Faulkner is the past San Francisco Republican County Chairman from 1987-1989. A strong defender of the free speech endorsement rights of the San Francisco Republican Central Committee in the 1987 Mayor's election, as GOP County Chairman Mr. Faulkner was a major plaintiff in the United States Supreme Court case of Geary et al. vs. Renne et al.

He holds a doctorate from Lincoln University Law School, and he formerly served as the Articles Editor and writer for the Lincoln Law Review.

We’re One Step Closer…

Feb 15, 2010

I am excited to report today that my campaign, seeking to unseat Nancy Pelosi in the 8th California District, is one step closer to attaining this goal due to your generosity.

Recently filed FEC reports show that my campaign has received financial contributions totaling just under $400,000. This amount is 7 times more money than my Republican primary opponent, solidifying my place as the true Republican candidate and formidable opponent to Nancy Pelosi.

Not only has my campaign received more contribution dollars but also the number of contributors far exceeds that of my primary opponent. Over 13,000 everyday Americans, from all fifty states, have donated money to my campaign, as each one of you believes that I am the candidate to unseat Nancy Pelosi. With your continued involvement, this number is growing by the hour, and it

According to the same FEC report, ninety-percent of your contributions were less than $200, whereas only forty six-percent of my primary opponent's donors contributed under $200, further displaying the true grassroots support behind me. These numbers also prove that each dollar you are able to contribute will propel me to the goal of defeating Nancy Pelosi in the general election.

I thank you for supporting my campaign, and I invite you continue to support this nation-wide movement to defeat Nancy Pelosi. While you're here, get involved! Sign the transparency petition, read Dana's blogs, and consider giving your time and money to be a part of this pivotal campaign and historical race.

Dana Announces Another Major Republican Endorsement

Feb 12, 2010

Darcy Linn Endorses Dana Walsh for Congress

SAN FRANCISCO—Dana is proud to announce another endorsement from a highly respected Bay Area Republican leader, Darcy Linn, current Treasurer and Budget Committee Chairman for the Contra Costa Republican Party.

“Dana Walsh embodies the qualities we want in a Congresswoman,” said Darcy. “She has the integrity to do what is best for the American people and the courage to fight for her ideals.”

Prior to moving to Contra Costa County Ms. Linn served the Party as an elected official, when she was elected to the San Francisco County Republican Central Committee. It was here where her colleagues took note of her leadership skills and financial background and voted her to the Executive Committee as Treasurer.

A life-long Republican and one of the Bay Area's most active Republican leaders, Darcy has been instrumental in numerous political campaigns. She held the position of Bay Area Events Chair for the Simon for Governor campaign in 2002, was a San Francisco County Co-Chair for the 2004 Bush-Cheney reelection campaign, and was Bay Area Regional Chair for Rudy Giuliani in 2007.

Often a media spokesperson for the Party, specifically regarding women's issues, Darcy has served for years on the board of the San Francisco County Republican Women's Federated and the California Women's Association. In 2004, Ms. Linn was elected President of the San Francisco County Republican Women's Federated and was re-elected to the post in 2005. Currently, Darcy is President of the California Women’s Leadership Association’s Bay Area chapter.

On top of her leadership in so many integral community organizations, Darcy is a very successful businesswoman, having worked her way up the ranks in corporate finance for Fortune 500 organizations such as The Gap, Discovery Channel, and Federated Department Stores. Dana is proud to have Darcy, a leader and businesswoman, who believes in reducing the tax and regulatory burden on business enterprises, support her campaign for congress!

Dana Walsh Announces New Major Republican Endorsement

Feb 11, 2010

Jim Hartman Endorses Dana's Campaign for U.S. Congress

SAN FRANCISCO— Dana Walsh, Republican running for Congress in California's 8th District against Nancy Pelosi, is proud to receive the endorsement of esteemed statewide Republican leader Jim Hartman.

Of Dana and her campaign for U.S. Congress, Jim said, “Dana Walsh will aggressively challenge Nancy Pelosi on the issues. Dana’s background working in business and in the San Francisco community makes her the best Republican candidate in the field - by far.”

Jim Hartman was the Alameda County Republican Party Chair from 2000 to 2005. Then beginning in 2002, he served as Vice Chairman of the California Republican Party – Bay Area Region till 2005.

However, his participation in politics and love for Republican public officials from California began much earlier. Jim was first a California Republican National Convention delegate for Ronald Reagan in 1980 and 1984.

“Jim has done so much for the Republican Party in California, and it is an honor to have his support,” said Dana. “I am ready to take on Nancy Pelosi to stop the out-of-control spending that is happening in Washington D.C., and I commit to start doing what is right for American families and small businesses.”

Jim Hartman is member of the State Bars of California, Illinois and New Jersey. He currently resides and practices law in Berkley.

Dana Walsh Announces New Republican Endorsement

Feb 10, 2010

Barbara Kiley Endorses Dana's Campaign

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Dana is very honored to have the endorsement of such an accomplished and dedicated member of the Republican Party, Barbara Kiley, 12th Assembly District Member of the San Francisco Republican Party.

"Congress has many challenges that need to be resolved.  We need the character and integrity of a person like Dana Walsh to tackle these challenges and ensure that America will remain a financially strong and independent country," said Barbara in her endorsement.

Barbara Kiley is a veteran member of the SFRP having served as Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. Her involvement in the Republican Party started with the 1964 Goldwater Campaign and has been active ever since. Growing up in the bluest of blue states, right in Ted Kennedy's back yard, Massachusetts, Barbara knew she had to be a Republican.

As a corporate officer for a national securities firm, she also found time to be a tireless volunteer and organizer for Republican candidates and causes. Her endorsement of Dana makes perfect sense as they are both passionate about the right to bear arms, voter reform, private property rights and would like to see our elected officials reassess our immigration and border security policies.

She served as GOTV Chair for the Bush/Cheney Campaigns in 2000 and 2004. She also served on the San Francisco Panel of the White House Fellowship Commission 2001-2009. Her other campaign experiences includes Reagan for Governor, Nixon for President, Reagan for President, Matt Fong for Senate, Lungren for Governor, Wilson for Governor, Simon for Governor and Ribera for Mayor. She was the San Francisco Republican Volunteer of the Year in 1996.
