OBAMA ADMITS IT: This Health Care Reform Bill is NOT about better Health Care options for Americans. It's all about Obama and about furthering his agenda. Obama is telling Dems that if HCR goes down, his whole agenda is threatened--Immigration Reform (aka amnesty), energy (Cap and Trade) and the rest.
The cynical speculation about who will have to take the fall for voting yes on this atrocious bill shows political back-room deals at their most repugnant. I remember when some representatives claimed they voted for the bill (the original 1018 page Nancy Pelosi House bill) admitting that it was "profoundly flawed" because they had to do "something." Now the bill is well over 2500 pages; who KNOWS how profoundly flawed it is now!?
IT DOESN'T MATTER - It doesn't matter that it will destroy our health care system. It doesn't matter it will bankrupt the country. It doesn't matter that individuals will no longer have control over their lives.
This is just the first battle in the war to control the American public.
I've often said that Nancy Pelosi is interested only in Power and Politics, not People and Policy. There is now no denying it. If this bill passes, the takeover will have begun.
This report exposes another factor that should concern every citizen. The changes to our Health Care will not be seen until "2014, 2015 even up to 2017".
Big Question: WHY such a long wait until people see the changes? Do those who have voted for this think they'll have political cover by that time? I believe those who have put together this "reform" KNOW how bad it will be and want to be gone before the public realizes it. Or, worse yet, don't have a clue about the consequences - and have the gall to foist this on the public anyway.
IT DOES MATTER - It matters to Americans who value their freedoms, who believe that government has no business legislating our health care, and who have had ENOUGH of this.
THIS BILL MUST NOT PASS.
Here are Congressmen whose votes are not clearly decided. Please call them at both their Washington and district offices:

Today Dana called upon Speaker Nancy Pelosi to uphold our Constitution in working to pass health care reform.
"In her lust to pass healthcare legislation, Speaker Pelosi has been threatening to pass the bill without a vote causing nothing short of a Constitutional crisis. As a member of Congress and Speaker of the House, it is her responsibility to protect and defend the constitution, not toss it aside for partisan politics," said Walsh. "Has she forgotten her oath of office?"
This week Speaker Pelosi has been twisting arms in attempt to pass the Senate's version of health care reform. Being shy 5 votes, the Speaker is now considering a new tactic of "deeming" the health care to be passed. The procedural maneuver is known as the "self-executing rule" and has never been used to pass a bill of this magnitude.
"Whether you are for or against this health care legislation, I believe that our nation can come together in one voice to say that our constitution should not be sacrificed," said Walsh.
In 1998 the United State Supreme Court ruled that each house of Congress must approve the same exact language of a bill before it can be enacted into law. If Pelosi persists with the deeming maneuver, this unconstitutional health care law will end up in a long legal battle costing taxpayers millions of dollars.
"This type of political gamesmanship is undermining the faith of the American people in their system of government. Pelosi, who promised to clean up the swamp, will be the chief culprit in putting the final nail in the coffin of good government," said Walsh. "Let this legislation be decided on its merits rather than backroom deals, legislative maneuvers and the courts."

My campaign to defeat Nancy Pelosi has tremendous grassroots support, and I am very grateful to those of you have become supporters across the San Francisco area and across the country!
In my quest to Defeat Nancy, I must first take on my primary opponent... My opponent is running as a pro-liberty candidate. What exactly does it mean to be a pro-liberty candidate? I means that on issues that are very, very important to Republicans, my opponent has some very interesting positions. Visit www.JohnDennisExposed.com to read about his desire to cut defense spending, weaken our national security, and cut and run in Iraq & Afghanistan. Click here to Expose John Dennis!

The good news for Republicans is that all of our candidates for Governor and for the Senate are superior to the Democrats” options. Speaking of which, isn’t it odd that the best the Democrats have to offer to run for Governor is Jerry Brown? What’s with THAT?! And that there isn’t anyone in the Democratic Party that will stand up for fiscal responsibility and for representing Californians instead of Beltway power politics by challenging Barbara Boxer?
Certainly there are huge numbers of Democrats who are appalled at the Health Care Reform Bill as it currently stands, with the brazen corruption on view in the Senate, and with the obscene, profligate spending that Barbara Boxer supports. Wouldn’t you think that there was someone in the Democrat Party who would stand up against Boxer and fight for Californians, especially those in the Central Valley who have been devastated by the unconstitutional measures taken to protect a lousy little fish rather than the economic livelihood of thousands of Californians?! Someone to STAND UP and say “Turn the water on, NOW!”
The main theme of the convention was the need to take back power from the government; back from a Congress (and a State Legislature) that has strayed SO far beyond the powers vested to them in the Constitution.
The CRP was the place to be this weekend, speaking to constituents, supporters and to other Congressional candidates; listening, learning, comparing strategies and developing ideas that will lead to Republicans taking back the Congress. Because there is no doubt that Republicans MUST take back the Congress in 2010. The American public has watched the totally inappropriate interplay between the Congress and state governments - from the ugly “deals” cut with Louisiana, Florida and Nebraska to bribe a Yes vote on Health Care Reform bill from their Senators to the proposals that federal funds be transferred to states to pay state employee salaries. The Congress is out of control.
I need not remind people that we have seen what the Democratic majority, led by the far-left Nancy Pelosi, has planned for the US. The scale, the scope and the speed with which they have begun to dismantle our Free Enterprise System is unprecedented. The legislation proposed to take away freedoms in every aspect of our lives is breathtaking in its audacity and arrogance.
Our Republicans are energized, motivated and clear on their goal. Nancy Pelosi – and all those representatives who support her statist policies - MUST GO.

The California Republican Assembly Convention last weekend gave me a great opportunity to meet one-on-one with the Party faithful.
My goal was to introduce myself to as many attendees as I could; as important as it is to get our message out, it is every bit as important to listen. Citizens want to be heard and I was given plenty of ideas to think about and information to review.
The message that ‘Nancy Pelosi Must Go” was a common theme. The strong-arm tactics employed by Pelosi were certainly discussed, but the bigger issue was that Health Care Reform – as presented in the current legislation – is totally unacceptable. And there was the recognition that this is just one battle in the war against big government. Equally dreadful legislation on Cap and Trade, Immigration Reform and The Fairness Doctrine are next on the Democrat Agenda.
My remarks at the after-dinner event on Saturday night were well received and brought us additional endorsements and volunteers. I’m looking forward to the CRP Convention this weekend and plan to build on the momentum created at the CRA. Hope to see you there!
