Funding Our Troops is not a Political Tool

Posted by Team Walsh - Sat, December 12, 2009 at 06:41 PM

Nancy Pelosi has devised a process where a vote for funding our troops is a vote to increase our debt ceiling.

Even though Congress had combined all other spending into one end-of-year spending bill, Pelosi has kept the $626 billion defense bill, which gives our troops much needed supplies, out of the bill.

Why is it out of the bill? It's "being held back to serve as a vehicle to advance must-pass legislation such as the debt increase."

A vote on funding our troops will be a vote on raising our national debt.

Shame on Nancy Pelosi.

I can’t believe they are doing that. I hope that the Blue Dogs help prevent this.

Dana, I hope that you are reaching out to College Republicans in the area. They are becoming more involved around the country, largely because of politicans like Nancy Pelosi.

I saw this and actually couldn’t believe it… now I’m realizing that I should have expected it. Dana please read this and tell us what you think - I know it’s state level and not federal, but I know you’re concerned with that as well. http://www.reformcal.com
