It isn’t Peolosi’s health plan…No one is addressing the real problem and cause for run-away costs. Take out the middle man, the insurance companies, that just push paper and drive costs up. Then tackle the pharmaceutical companies that charge up to as much as 1,300% markup on prescription drugs that people need to live. They receive government funds to help with research costs and have rigged our regulations/laws with lobbiests $$$.
Our system is corrupted, and if you want to change that, then I am for you.

Healthcare reform is way too big of a project to be railroaded through. Do I believe the system is broken? YES! Do I believe the govt can fix it? NO! People tend to forget that the govt doesn’t make a profit from anything other than taxes. If we want the govt to help with program xyz, then you better get ready for your taxes to go up since you and I will be the ones funding it.
You cannot tax your way into prosperity! I’ve had the arguments about Hamilton, FDR, etc. Simply put, they were able to use taxes to bring the country out of debt and get back to a functional and somewhat stable economy because we didn’t have career politicians taking fat salaries, nor did we have thousands of govt funded programs bleeding the system for billions.
If the govt wants my money to work harder for them, they can start by: 1.Cutting the worthless programs 2.Ending the era of career politicians 3.Stop treating the Constitution and our laws as if they were just “guidelines”.
Leave free enterprise alone. Let businesses succeed or fail on their own. No more corporate bailouts, and for the love of God…no more ear-marks! If a bill is to be about one thing, then there should not be any ear-marks tacked on for something completely different.

FELLOW GREAT AMERICANS…EA STATE SHOULD PASS A LAW RULING THAT GOVERNMENT PAYER HEALTHCARE or ANYTHING LIKE THAT ... IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL. AS ‘VIRGINIA’ IS ATTEMPING 2 DO. THEN THE US GOV’T WOULD HAVE 2 FIGHT EA STATE IN COURT 2 PASS SAID FED PROGRAM(s). THAT IS A FILIBUSTER!! EA STATE ‘MUST’ ALSO PASS LEGSTRTION REQUIRING FED TAXATION & SPEMDING BE NO HIGHER THAN A SAID PERCENT OF THE “GDP”.. then we have ‘em where we want ‘em…on a LEASH !!!!!GROW THE ECONOMY OR FORGET IT…....TEACH THE HISTORY of the BILL RIGHTS & CONSTITUTION in schools again instead of Rules 4 Radicals MAY GOD BLESS US ALL as he used to

This needs to be a tiered commitment by government.
Phase I:
A) Open insurance choices up across state lines.
INCREASE COMPETITION.
B) Institute Tort Reform.
C) Provide vouchers for folks without insurance.
D) Create an initiative that makes a “general pool” group
for folks without insurance so they can buy a cheaper rate.
E) Didn’t Clinton sign a bill that required insurance companies to not DISCRIMINATE AGAINST pre-existing conditions?
ENFORCE IT, or draft new legislation that fixes it.
Start there. NO 1,100 page bills required. NO KA-ZILLION DOLLAR SPENDING REQUIRED. NO SPECIAL EARMARKS IN THIS LEGISLATION. PERIOD.
Then go to Phase II. TBD

I graduated from Lowell High in 1949 and left for Southern California a year later and have been in this area every since. I am so disgusted with what S.F. has turned into, I am nauseated with every visit I now make to The City.
Nancy Pelosi is so far left on the political continuum that I think even the Progessives are sick of her.
Pelosi just got word from Ike Skelton (D-MO), the chairman of the Armed Services Committee, to forget about passing anything having to do with the homosexualization of the US Military this year contrary to which Obama genuflected in his SOTU speech last week. There are many in Congress who no longer consider Pelosi as “Madame Speaker.”

I cannot believe that the government has the audacity to think that Americans want this! Do we need to fix some of it…YES, but it is not something I want the feds to be a part of when it comes to deciding the care I will receive.

We are losing our country!!!! we need to stand up to this socialist way. We can not put up with anymore of this new government!! They all need to be fired and tried for treason this is soooooo unconstitutional. I am standing up for my country and will help you anyway I can. I am a political person that just lost election in the last general election. I was a township supervisor for 6 years and put my life into it. When some man came to run against me and lived in the township all his life, he beat me by 13 votes. Now everyone hear is regretting it. Please keep in touch I will help you work the Beaver County area In western Pennsylvaina!!!

It’s very easy to spend someone elses money, and that is exactly what this democratic administration is doing. I am sick of the run-a -way spending they are doing. They are wasting OUR money. Obviously none of them have ever run their own personal budget before because if they did, they would all be broke. They are bankrupting our nation and turning it into a socialist state. They are enabling incompetency, irresponsibility and dependency. This is NOT America. This admisistration is disgusting and Pelosi is the WORST. They should all be tried for GRAND THEFT and thrown in jail!
