I agree with most of the points you’ve made, but there is one that I think needs to be looked at again. Going digital would be good for the health care industry for many reasons, but according to a Harvard study it doesn’t reduce costs.

Melinda I think that if done correctly, computerization could be cost effective. Unfortunately, as that article points out, it is generally done for the benefit of hospital administrators without helping doctors and nurses. If they can find a system that helps out both groups, I think that’s ideal.
