What Would Jesus Do? Vote Against Nancy Pelosi, For Starters
Nancy Pelosi recently told the Catholic Community Conference that she has a duty to pursue public policies in keeping with the values of Jesus.
Pelosi repeatedly referenced “The Word.” She didn’t, however, tell anyone that the word is “crazy,” but this video makes that quite evident:

Pelsoi: BP oil spill is Bush’s fault.
Surprise…Democrats are still pointing fingers at George W. Bush. Seems to me that anything that happens in the Gulf is Bush’s fault. Atlantic Hurricanes, the destruction of black neighborhoods and now add oil rig damage and oil spills. Suggestion to BP, instead of plugging the well with golf balls perhaps they can plug them into Nancy Pelosi’s big stupid mouth. Whether there are “cozy relationships” or not it is pure idiocy to think Democrats in DC would have been able to stop the methane bubble that caused the accident.

The Speaker Who Won’t Speak with the People
Everywhere we turn, we stumble over Nancy Pelosi. Or rather, we stumble over the micro-regulations Nancy Pelosi adores. These regulations are vast new bureaucratic steps that exact compliance in the most everyday of transactions.
In my case, I stumbled over the Speaker as I converted a pre-tax retirement account to an IRA—essentially transferring money from one bank account to another bank account. What could be simpler for a constituent (as I am) of the all-powerful Nancy Pelosi?

Jobs and tax bill to cost $134 billion
NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com)—Congressional budget scorekeepers said that a grab-bag bill of spending and tax measures to be taken up this week would increase federal deficits by $134 billion over a decade.
The bill, which is likely to become a flash point in the debate over the federal debt, would raise $40 billion worth in additional revenue, according to estimates by the Congressional Budget Office and the Joint Committee on Taxation.

RNC Co-Chair: Nancy Pelosi Will Lead America to National Ruin
By Jan Larimer

In the 222 years since our Constitution was ratified, the trajectory of American ingenuity has always been on the rise. It was Americans who through their sweat and toil drove innovation in agriculture and powered the industrial revolution. It was Americans who through their entrepreneurial spirit sparked the technological revolution that gave rise to the internet and the digital era.

Jim Gilchrist, Founder of the Minutemen
“Dana Walsh has a Five Point Plan that will solve the nation’s illegal immigration problem. You can trust her when she says she will demand the Federal Government to enforce our laws and our borders. Unlike her opponent Nancy Pelosi who has stated that enforcing immigration laws was “un-American”, Dana Walsh has a committed stand on the issues of immigration reform and border security. California needs someone in DC that will fight on behalf of taxpayers to end the influx of illegal aliens in America and that is why I wholeheartedly endorse Dana Walsh for US Congress.”
State Senator Sam Aanestad, Conservative Republican candidate for Lt. Governor
“As someone who has served in both the California Assembly and Senate, I can recognize leadership skills. Dana Walsh has impressed me. She is well spoken and has a clear understanding of the difficult issues facing both our state and country,” said Aanestad. “Republicans of the 8th district would be well served by nominating Dana Walsh.”
Donald Casper, Past Chair SFRP, SF City Commissioner
"I am proud to endorse Dana Walsh. She represents the very best San Francisco Republican values,"
Jim Hartman, Past Chair CA GOP
“Dana Walsh will aggressively challenge Nancy Pelosi on the issues. Dana’s background working in business and in the San Francisco community makes her the best Republican candidate in the field - by far.”
Kirk Miller, Past Chair SFRP
"Dana is an intelligent, insightful, hard working, and dedicated San Francisco Republican. She is by far the best candidate to carry our political banner."
Darcy Linn, President, N.CA Chapter CWLA (CA Women's Leadership Association)
“Dana Walsh embodies the qualities we want in a Congresswoman,” said Darcy. “She has the integrity to do what is best for the American people and the courage to fight for her ideals.”
Young Republican Federation of California
"Your dedication and leadership to our ideals has earned you our support and we look forward to working to your victory in 2010."
Barbara Kiley, Past VC and Officer and current member, SFRP
"Congress has many challenges that need to be resolved. We need the character and integrity of a person like Dana Walsh to tackle these challenges and ensure that America will remain a financially strong and independent country,"
Terrence Faulkner, Past Chair and current member SFRP & Alisa Farenzena, member, SFRP
"I endorse Dana Walsh because she is the only candidate in District 8 who understands the importance of winning the global war on terror," says Ms. Farenzena. "The other candidates cannot seem to grasp the significance of having all intelligence-gathering tactics available to us and the need to differentiate terrorists from common criminals."
David Kiachko, member, SFRP
"I especially appreciate that Dana is the only individual in the race who fully understands the terror threat to the United States and the importance of defending the Patriot Act. She is also the only Republican in the race who, while looking forward to the day our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan can be brought home safely, agrees with John McCain and General McChrystal that a cut and run policy, in both Iraq and Afghanistan, will jeopardize the safety of both our troops and the United States. Dana will work hard to protect our economy and our safety."
Janet Campbell, member, SFRP
"Like many of Dana's supporters, I am a strong proponent of fiscal integrity at all levels of government. Dana has also earned my support for her position in upholding the Constitution and recalling a repeal of the Health Care Bill. Her stances are clear and unwavering,"
Albert Chang, Chairman, Shandong Assoc, Co Chair, Chinese Alliance, Past member, SFRP
"Dana Walsh is the best candidate to take on Pelosi," said Chang. "Not only does her campaign have the necessary fundraising momentum, but Dana also has the strongest stands on the most pressing issues confronting our country."
Mike Gleim, past delegate CA GOP
Mike Gleim, former appointed delegate of the California Republican Party, Vice-Chair for Precinct Operations of the San Francisco Republican Party from 2006-2008, and most recently, Mike was the Volunteer Coordinator for the 2008 Winter California Republican Party Convention in San Francisco.
Sue Woods, Past VC and Officer and current member, SFRP
I am supporting Dana Walsh because:
-
-
I know she will run as a Reagan Republican as she did in 2008, and not embarrass the GOP. Her opponent supports ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, wants to cut defense and close military bases and is a self described anti-war activist. His leftists views will be embarrassing to the GOP.
-
For many years, Dana has been an active member of SFGOP, serving several terms. Her opponent’s first appearance as a Republican was in 2008 when he failed to win election to the SFGOP, finishing near the bottom, while Dana was easily re-elected.
-
Dana has raised more funds in this race than her opponent, whose campaign flyer his critical of her effort “raised over $1,4 million…over 90% went to fundraising firms” What’s wrong with netting $140,000? This is typical fund-raising results. Her opponent tried to hire the same firms.

“The more I look at his (John Dennis) website the more I see “Pelosi Light.” I have met Dana over the years I have seen her unwavering support of our Troops and our Country. While a vote for John Dennis would bring the 8th District to the aisle, but I would not go as far as calling him the conservative choice… However, I believe we should support Dana because she is the most Conservative and supports our values. We are no longer going to play politics as usual, my support goes to Dana Walsh.”

Dem campaign chief defends Pelosi: She’s not a ‘boogeywoman’
Republicans are portraying Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) as a boogeywoman in their attempt to win back the House, according to Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine.
“I have my own theories about why Republicans often like to make the speaker a ‘boogeywoman.’ And you might divine my theories from the way I phrased that,” Kaine told a National Press Club lunch Wednesday.
Republicans made Pelosi and President Barack Obama an issue in Tuesday’s special election for former Rep. John Murtha’s (D-Pa.) seat. Both were unpopular in the district but Democrat Mark Critz, a former Murtha staffer, prevailed with a comfortable nine-point margin, which Kaine pointed out several times during his remarks.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi: House’s holy hypocrite
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is a disgrace and an embarrassment to American politics (“Be Careful What You Pray For, Nancy,” Bill O’Reilly, PostOpinion, May 14).
Several weeks ago, she instructed Catholic priests to urge their parishioners to support immigration reform. What ever happened to the separation of church and state?
This hypocrite would be screaming from the rafters if a Republican told priests to not support reform.

GOP will hook Dems with health care
Late on the night of March 21, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and President Barack Obama were celebrating the end of a nearly yearlong quest to pass a government takeover health care bill that the American people had already rejected.
While the champagne corks popped in the speaker’s office, the mood among rank-and-file Democrats was far more somber. Party leaders were rejoicing, but Democratic members, who’d had their arms twisted into voting for the bill, were more likely contemplating their next career move.
Starting last summer, Washington heard warnings from across America. From town halls to marches on the Capitol — not to mention in poll after poll — concerned citizens warned Democrats to back down from their reckless health care agenda.

Health Care Cost Cynics Were Right
One of President Barack Obama’s big health care takeover selling points was that the whole thing would cost less than $1 trillion. Even that figure, incomprehensible to most Americans, was low - and there is no doubt Obama and his liberal cronies in Congress knew it.
Congressional budget analysts say the new health care law probably will cost at least $115 billion more than had been claimed.
The additional funding was not included in Congressional Budget Office estimates during the weeks before Congress enacted the health care measure. At the time, conservatives maintained the CBO cost estimate was wrong. Obama, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said, in essence, that the critics were lying.
They were telling the truth. Obviously, the liberals were not.

Pelosi: Despite Oil Spill, We Must Pass Energy Bill
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told reporters Tuesday that despite the Transocean Deepwater Horizon oil spill it is still necessary to pass a comprehensive energy bill.

Pelosi Opponent Wants Speaker to Reimburse Taxpayers for Fundraiser Security
Nancy Pelosi’s potential Republican challenger is calling on the House speaker to pay back taxpayers after she lugged a massive security detail to a fundraiser in Palm Beach over the weekend.
The Palm Beach Post reported that there were more law officers than guests at the soiree—the detail included Capitol Police, Palm Beach officers, sheriff’s deputies and two police boats parked across the street in the Atlantic Ocean.
Dana Walsh, the long-shot Republican candidate looking to challenge Pelosi in the fall, said in a statement Wednesday that Pelosi’s campaign or the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee should reimburse taxpayers for the security expense.

Jobs, Jobs, Jobs. As an entrepreneur, I know first hand that small businesses are the principle generator of new jobs in our country. Our next Congresswoman must be focused on creating a business friendly climate where entrepreneurs are encouraged to start and grow their businesses so that more Californians have jobs.
I am a firm believer in free enterprise system. I will advocate for policies that will lower taxes and reduce over-regulation to encourage economic growth.
A balanced federal budget is essential for our national economic health and long-term prosperity. I support giving the President the power of the Line Item Veto to cut government spending.

Illegal Immigration

I recognize that our nation was built by immigrants and I encourage legal immigration, but I strongly believe that we need to end illegal immigration with stricter enforcement of our current laws, building a border fence, and using new technologies to keep illegal immigrants out of the United States. I am an opponent of amnesty.
Moreover, securing our borders and stopping illegal immigration are key elements in defending America. We need to remove the incentives for those who break our laws to enter our country: No welfare benefits, no drivers licenses, no free college tuition and NO AMNESTY for illegal aliens.
I support the Secure Fence Act, which creates 854 miles of border fence along our Southwest border. I oppose allowing cities like San Francisco to declare themselves sanctuaries for illegal aliens.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi famously said that enforcing immigration law was “un-American.” San Francisco, the city she represents, touts its “sanctuary city” status. City leadership goes even further; it offers illegal aliens an ID card that allows them to access city services. Our district attorney’s office has gone from defying immigration law to aiding and abetting illegal criminals, as exposed when one of the coddled thugs murdered Anthony Bologna and his sons, Mathew and Michael, on our city streets.
I am adamant in my opposition to any form of amnesty for those who have entered the country illegally. Instead, I suggest, fast-track those who respect our immigration laws and are waiting, often for years, to LEGALLY enter the country. Send a clear message to our leaders - Enforce Existing Immigration Laws. Period.
The costs of illegal immigration are bankrupting cities and counties. Providing “social services” is just the tip of the iceberg. Law enforcement and incarceration costs are surging and 25% of our jail population is made up of illegals; many more criminals brutalize the neighborhoods of law-abiding immigrants. The cost in jobs is at a time when the unemployment rate in our state is over 12 %.
The country’s easily penetrable border is also an issue of homeland security.
My Five-Point Plan includes:
* Ending the “Catch and Release” policy, making expedited removal of illegal aliens mandatory
* Mandatory employer verification of worker eligibility to work in the United States and stiff punitive penalties for knowingly hiring illegal workers.
* Prohibiting illegal aliens from any access to Social Security benefits.
* Limiting birthright citizenship to the children of United States citizens and legal permanent residents.
* Ending all loopholes in federal laws that benefit illegal aliens and those who profit from their illegal presence in the United States.
I believe that by limiting access to jobs and social services, people will be encouraged to return home and enter the United States legally.
I also criticize the incumbent, Nancy Pelosi, for failing to support measures to strengthen our borders. She is rated Zero by the U.S. Border Control. Pelosi has also voted for measures that encourage people to illegally enter the U.S., including in-state tuition for illegal immigrants, and increased educational, welfare and health care benefits.
During her tenure as Speaker, Pelosi has done absolutely nothing about dealing with this growing problem. At a time of record unemployment we must make sure our citizens are getting the available jobs instead of those in our country illegally.
Responding to the YouTube speech, I disagree with Speaker Pelosi. Enforcement of our laws is not un-American. It is the sworn duty of elected officials.

Winning the War on Terrorism

Nancy Pelosi is in denial about the threat Islamic Radicalism poses to America and other free societies. While she and her liberal colleagues take their eye off the ball, America’s risk profile increases. As they waffle about Gitmo, rush to extend Miranda rights to enemy combatants, and try to impress European Elites, our enemies are emboldened. Their weak, wishy-washy approach will cost American lives.
Prevailing in the War on Terrorism is essential to the preservation of our liberties and our way of life. If we’re not vigilant about enemies “foreign and domestic” we may lose this war in Washington, D.C.‘s liberal backrooms.
In Congress, I will work to responsibly address the growing threats to our nations. I believe that we must stay vigilant and ensure that our defense remains the strongest force in the world. I want terrorists treated as enemy combatants rather than as common criminals.

Health Care

Everyone agrees that the U.S. health care system needs effective improvement. After years of government intrusion, the removal of competition, and out-of-control civil malpractice awards, the system’s dysfunctions have caused costs to rise unnecessarily. The prescription for improvement is not a bigger dose of what got us where we are. Instead of finding ways to remove barriers to success in the best health care system in the world, our leaders in Washington are bent on moving backward and adopting the failed systems of Europe and Canada. Across the globe, citizens of nations with government-run health care experience long wait times, a lack of access to certain treatments and, a lower quality of medical care.

Cap and Trade

Cap-and-trade Legislation is designed to make carbon a liability, thereby driving up the cost of burning fossil fuels to generate electricity or using carbon-intensive equipment to power industrial factories and processes.
The underlying mis-guided liberal theory is that renewable energy will instantly become more competitive & advantageous. The reality is that it will cost Americans jobs, decrease domestic productivity, and further slow down our economy. Nancy Pelosi and The President have bigger goals: To continue to vilify and punish corporate America, and to appease the “Global Warming” zealots that support them lock step.
Remember President Obama’s own words, “So, if somebody wants to build a coal plant, they can - it’s just that it will bankrupt them, because they are going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.”
And Speaker Pelosi’s own contradicting words, “I believe we have to because we see that as a source of revenue,” she said, noting that proposed cap-and-trade bills would raise billions of dollars by forcing major emitters to buy credits to release greenhouse gases. “Cap-and-trade is there for a reason. You cap and you trade so you can pay for some of these investments in energy independence and renewables.”

Energy Independence

I believe that we must strive for both clean energy and energy independence. We must take action now to secure the future for the next generation. I support development of alternative energy resources, but not at the cost of passing cap and trade which would add $3200 in new fees and taxes on San Francisco households. We must build more nuclear facilities, drill responsibly and encourage development of wind, solar and geothermal.
Achieving energy independence is a critical component in winning the War on Terrorism and keeping our economy strong and growing. We need to accelerate the construction of new nuclear power plants and permit American firms to drill offshore and on Alaska’s North Slope.
We also need a national commitment to the development of a variety of alternative sources of energy, including bio diesel, biomass, wind, hydrogen, solar and clean coal in order to stop enriching Middle Eastern dictators who want to destroy us.
Second Amendment
I am a proud supporter of the Second Amendment. I believe that our citizens have the right to keep and bear arms.
American Values

Assimilation of different groups and ethnicities is one of America’s greatest strengths. English is the language of prosperity. It is essential to a vibrant civic culture and healthy democracy.
Studying our nation’s history, demonstrating proficiency in English and understanding the rights and responsibilities of being an American should be mandatory requirements for citizenship.
Right to Life
I am a strong advocate for adoption, and I support parental notification. I oppose and federal funding dollars for the abortion procedures or related services procedures, and I strongly oppose partial birth abortions.
